“ … the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” (James 3 verse 17 NIV)

Come and join us!

“I have set before you an open door” (Revelation 3 verse 8)

“I have given you the keys of the Kingdom” (Matthew 16 verse 19)

A year of fresh opportunities!

A year of change and fresh opportunity — come and join us!

: “It’s not finished yet”; God’s still at work!

Here at Main Street Community Church we believe in an active God!

The God who was with those who founded this local church is as real as he was at the start, over 40 years ago.

He is the God of the Bible — the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

He is the God who sent his Son Jesus Christ into our world to give his life for us.

“ … being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” (Philippians 1 verse 6)

: “ ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord.”

(From Zechariah chapter 4 verse 6 (TNIV))

In we recognised that it is not our hard work that counts, although we work hard to reach and support our community, but we trust in a God who is able and willing to act for us and for the town of Frodsham. Living as a prophetic people. Trusting God, expecting him to act.

Ephesians chapter 3 verses 20 and 21 (NRSV): “Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask, or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.”
Greater things have yet to come
Greater things are still to be done.
A year of expectation for which we had been building foundations. Not forgetting what God has done in the past, but expecting more! Looking, prayerfully, for new and exciting things from God amongst us in the year!

We believed God called us to persevere in our faith, in our prayer and in living our Christian lives. He does not promise it will be easy but he does promise he will be with us as we “Keep on keeping on”!

we asked God for refreshing streams from his Holy Spirit. We gradually gained a sense of anticipation and slowly saw growth of new people in our church. But we still wanted more from God!

We took as our encouragement the words of the angel to Mary, “With God nothing is impossible”. We saw God strengthen our faith
