Christmas Journey

… for children from 4 to 8 to enjoy the Christmas Story

As part of Frodsham’s Christmas festival, Christians from several churches in and around Frodsham invited children to enjoy the Christmas story through a multimedia experience at Main Street Chapel (renamed to Main Street Community Church in July 2007). A tour round the Christmas Journey took about 45 minutes. Stops included creation, Mary’s kitchen, a hillside near Bethlehem, the stable, the wise men’s tent and a modern living room.

The event is supported by Frodsham Churches Together. In the past the event has also received support from Wellspring Christian Trust, Frodsham Forward and the Frodsham Christmas Festival.

There is a Christmas Journey web site that will be of particular interest if you are thinking of organising a similar event.

The pictures on this page are from Christmas Journey in Frodsham in 2006. There are more photographs from Christmas Journey in 2011, Christmas Journey in 2007 and Christmas Journey in 2004 and 2005.

Clicking on any of the pictures will load it on its own page.

Going on the Christmas Journey

The Christmas Journey Theme Song

Where are you going, shepherds?
Where are you going, shepherds?
Where are you going, shepherds?
Going to see the King!

Chorus:
They say there’s a King in a cow-shed
Come to birth on a straw bed.
No royal cushions for his head.
Come to set us free!

Where are you going, wise men? ...

Where are you going, children? ...
